The NSW Government will offer up to $10,000 in a business support package to eligible businesses that have been impacted by the current COVID-19 restrictions.

Businesses can utilise the support for expenses like rent, utilities, and wages among others.

What does this package offer?

The amount a business can receive depends on the percentage of their turnover decline during the lockdown, as follows:

  • Businesses with 70% turnover decline: $10,000
  • Businesses with 50% turnover decline: $7,000
  • Businesses with 30% turnover decline: $5,000

The payments are said to be available by 19 July 2021.

Who can receive support?

  • Small Business COVID-19 Support Grant for small businesses with:
    • Less than 20 full-time employees
    • Turnover of more than $75,000 per year
    • Payroll tax below the NSW Government 2020-2021 threshold of $1.2 million
    • ABN registered in NSW or show physical location / primary operation in NSW
  • Hospitality and Tourism COVID-19 Support Grantfor businesses belonging to the tourism, hospitality, and accommodation industries with:
    • Turnover of more than $75,000 per year
    • Annual payroll up to $10 million
    • ABN registered in NSW or show physical location / primary operation in NSW

Extension of NSW Dine and Discover Voucher Scheme

The Dine and Discover NSW Voucher Program, which was to end on 30 June 2021, has been extended until 31 August 2021. Also, the vouchers can now be used for takeaway orders during the restriction period but not if you are using third-party delivery platforms. Food can also be picked up from the venue, but a QR code for the check-in is required.
