If the eligibility conditions are met, a rebate of $6,000 per full-time employee is available – $2,000 on the first anniversary and $4,000 on the second.

Eligibility Conditions:

  1. Employ staff in the last 90 days to register
  2. The role must be in place for at least 12 months / 24 months
  3. Liable to pay Payroll Tax
  4. Not received any other employment grants from the State
  5. NSW employees only
  6. Growing business, increasing FTE count
  7. Apprentices / trainees who are exempt for payroll tax are excluded
  8. Total number of Full Time Employees needs to be less than 50 to register

The scheme ends on the 30th June 2019. Employing new staff before this date will make them eligible for registration under the SBG.

If you have claimed this grant before, then this note is to make sure you are aware that any new staff must be registered by 30th June 2019 (date that this scheme comes to an end). The business will then qualify for the grant on the employee anniversary date of 12 months.

If you have not claimed this grant before, then you have until 30th June 2019 to register all claims for any new staff from as far back as 1st July 2015. Please act now and don’t miss the opportunity. Many of our clients have taken the opportunity and availed of this grant.
