In a slight change from the usual focus, today’s blog is on the Dine and Discover NSW vouchers and its promotion of dining, arts and tourism businesses in NSW. You can apply online in a few simple steps.

What is Dine and Discover NSW?

Dine and Discover NSW is a stimulus launched by the NSW government “to encourage the community to get out and about and support dining, arts and tourism businesses.”

Under this program, each Local Government Area (LGA) in NSW will distribute four $25 vouchers to eligible residents to use with participating businesses – there are two voucher types:

  • 2 x $25 Dine NSW vouchers: Redeem it when eating in restaurants, cafes, bars, wineries, pubs and clubs
  • 2 x $25 Discover NSW vouchers: Use it for entertainment and recreation, including live music, recreational activities, cinemas, and arts venues

You cannot use vouchers for:

  • buying products or services involving alcohol, gambling or tobacco
  • cash transactions, regardless of the amount of the voucher redeemed
  • online-only services, takeaway and food delivery orders

Both vouchers are available for use seven days a week except for public holidays until 30 June 2021 and note that each voucher can only be used once. If you don’t spend the full $25, the remaining balance cannot be used.

Update: This scheme has been extended. The Dine & Discover NSW Vouchers are now valid until 31 August 2021.

You can apply for the vouchers if you are:

  • aged 18 years or over
  • an NSW resident who lives in an eligible LGA.

To apply, you will need:

  • a MyServiceNSW account
  • two proof of identity documents (your names must match in both documents)
  • the latest version of Service NSW app on your mobile device.

We hope that you enjoy the benefits of these vouchers in dining out and discovering attractions with friends and family and we also wish all businesses the best of luck in the year ahead.
